So I’ve had this little bump on the corner of my eyelid for over a year…possibly a couple of years or so. I’ve never thought it was a huge deal, but never knew what it was. After I accidentally scratched it off the other day, it scabbed over and started hurting for me to open or close my eyelids. My mom said I should get it checked out at the Doctor, so I scheduled an appointment for yesterday.
After showing the Doc, she said they needed to take a biopsy of it and check to see what it was. I was pretty surprised because I expected it just to be a tiny bump (even smaller now after it scabbed up and the scab fell off) that would eventually go away or be no big deal. I had no idea what to expect from a biopsy maybe a centimeter away from my eye. Well after two shots to numb it (which didn’t really work that well), a big chunk of the skin around my eyelid was gone. They tried to stop the bleeding and kept putting alcohol dipped q-tips on it.
Anyways, if you happen to see my wound and wonder what happened, just remember my manly story…
