- So it’s officially Fall Break and I have huge plans. Well, not really. I have Thursday and Friday off this week and I’m getting to do a retreat this Friday and Saturday with the Chris Coleman Band. However, I wish I had a longer weekend and by the end of next week, I think I’ll be wishing I would’ve studied more for my Hebrew and Church Growth and Evangelism mid-terms.
- My advice for any students aspiring to be a biblical studies major is to seriously think before taking Greek and/or Hebrew. I decided to switch to a B.A. degree from the B.S. so I could learn Greek and Hebrew and I’ve really learned a lot. However, learning another language is very challenging and takes a lot of time. I’ve worked and studied more for those two classes combined than quite possibly all my classes in college together. But I’m learning a lot and it could really be worth it. Just think about it before jumping in…
- Speaking of school, it’s really gone by fast this semester. I sign up for spring classes within the next few weeks and I’m very hopeful that I’ll be able to get the classes I need and that I can be done in a year!
- In other news, we got a new couch last weekend. Kurtis got it for free and it’s kind of like an off-white leather and it’s clean. It might not look that awesome (I actually like it), but it’s really comfy and has made the apartment feel like home more. It’s strange that one piece of furniture would do that, but it has.
- I’m playing for Genesis at West Ridge tomorrow night. I really love Genesis and I’m excited to be a part of that ministry.
- I realized yesterday that I’m becoming a lot more financially independent this year as I’m paying for all my expenses except for my housing (at ACC), part of my car and insurance, and meals on the weekend. However, I am needing some new clothes…and there’s a few more pedals I’d like to have. I hope I’m able to go shopping sometime soon
- I’m very thankful for what God’s been doing in my life. He’s given me opportunity after opportunity and I know that He’s got me taken care of. I trust Him more than I ever have…and that’s the best place to be.
